Alana Seagan and Matthew Braistlerd

The millionaire heiress Alana Seagan will be born on January 10, 2033, in Barry, a small town in Wales. Her husband, Matthew Braistlerd, will be born on April 10, 2030, in Southampton, a southern English port, 118 years after the famous and ill-fated Titanic ocean liner set sail on her maiden voyage (and last, and only, and unfinished voyage) precisely from that port.

Matthew will be a bad student, and at 19 years of age, in 2049, he will get a job as a driver of a milk delivery lorry.

They will get married on January 30, 2055, by the Anglican Church, although Braistlerd's mother, Theresa McIllsley, is and will be a Scottish Presbyterian throughout her life.

In 2088, their two daughters and their only son will be married, and the couple will live alone for a few years in a luxurious four-story mansion, six bedrooms, swimming pool, orchard, two gardens, and a five-car garage, on Chilworth Road, Southampton, all paid for by Alana. The property will be valued, in that year 2088, at £2,850,000.

Their only "pets" will be a dozen fish in a single, well-stocked fishbowl, including a cleaner plecostomus, as Theresa will loathe other animals.

They will have a housekeeper, maid, cook, gardener, and private driver.

One of Theresa's hobbies will be to accumulate in the basement, useless electrical appliances, clothes that she will no longer use, paintings, flat-screen TVs, laptops, board games, toys that their children will have thrown away, and endless objects worse than useless, despite the fact that the mansion will have two spacious rooms for pieces, at the end of the back garden, which will remain almost empty.

It will be something that her idle spouse, fond of watching rugby matches on television, will have to tolerate, since it will be her wife who will be in charge of the household and handling the bank accounts.

Every Friday, the Braistlerds will invite friends to dinner, drinks, and play poker.

It will happen that a certain day in autumn 2090, the wind will close the door that will lead to the stairway used to descend to the basement, and the lady will be trapped below, but will be rescued by Angie Williams, the maid.

And so Alana and Matthew will continue their placid, accommodating and satisfying lives into old age.

Cada viernes, los Braistlerd invitarán a amistades a cenar, beber licor, y jugar póquer.

Ocurrirá que cierto día de otoño de 2090, el viento cerrará la puerta que dará a la escalera utilizada para descender al sótano, y la señora quedará atrapada abajo, pero será rescatada por Angie Williams, la mucama.

Y así, Alana y Matthew continuarán su plácida, complaciente y satisfactoria vida hasta la vejez.
