The Art of Litterpicks - #3

Plastic belongs to the non edible materials. Actually, about one million sea birds and 100'000 marine mammals are killed annually from plastic in our oceans (ecowatch.com).

Just one of many reasons to properly dispose all kinds of plastic. Ideally in a recycling bin, so the animals can seek for some proper food and also nature looks much better without waste lounging around..

Inspiring and wonderful article and images @dvicech.

It tears at my heart to see bits of plastic wrapped around trees in our local creek after heavy rains. Sometimes I can return home with a bag full of these bits and pieces of litter.

But imagine if more and more people just picked up after themselves when they 'go bush' and better still refuse to use non-recyclable plastic.

Although I can be quite disheartened at times, I'm still one of those who think we CAN make a difference ~ Even in very small personal ways. That's where it has to start. 🙏⚖️🙏

Thank you very much for the appreciation @allyinspirit! 🙏

I completely agree with you and would even say that change can only happen that way, I.e. person by person making a difference and being the change.
