Some days ago we arrived at a beatiful lake to spend the night and the next day. But we found the place blemished with litter. So before we could sit down and relax, we made some effort to free our location from all the trash.
We were really suprised how much garbage we collected in this short time.
Four 30 liter bags in under 5 minutes! Some of the plastic bags already dissipated into small stripes and a lot of wet wipes were already partly overgrown by grass. We even dug out a half buried towel which must have been pushed into the dirt by some car tires while the ground was wet.
After removing all this litter we were happy that we had a nice place to stay and that all the bags and bottles that we collected would not end up as microplastic somewhere in the ocean.

What a mess people make. They do it here too... simply drive over and dump their trash (bags full) where I live

Yeah, it's a shame. Here in Spain there are literally piles of trash right next to a dumpster... It's impossible for me to understand. Where are you from?
