"I Participate in a Little Contest, for a Big Reason with my Cat: Dale"

@yiyi.maiola is still trying to raise funds to get her dogs home safely. She had to leave Venezuela in a hurry and left her two dogs in the care of her friends / neighbours. They are no longer able to care for them and the dogs have been abandoned in a courtyard. @yiyi.maiola has created a contest to raise funds to fly them home to her in Argentina. Dale

Often called "Snail", Dale is the most innocent little soul I have ever met. She is so trusting. I rescued Dale and her kittens 7 years ago. The three kittens went to good homes, however, no one wanted Dale so I kept her. Her kittens turned out to be absolutely beautiful cats. Sometimes I don't quite understand it. This is Dale.

I used to live in a suburb called Olivedale and I had another cat called Olive. I thought it fitting to call my new addition Dale. Olive was knocked down by a car a few years ago. I got there just in time to hold her as she took her last breath. It still kills me. Dale mourned her too and clung to me for a few weeks after the incident. This was my Olive.

Later on, I adopted Skiddy. Skiddy was my regal boy. I lost him 2 months ago to renal failure. I still find myself searching for Skiddy when I walk into a room. A huge chunk is missing.

Dale is on a diet now because she is SO fat! The problem is that, in order to get Dale to come home, I have to shout out the word "snacks". As soon as I say "snacks" she comes running from wherever she's been hiding. Then I feel bad so I have to give her a snack. Now it's low calorie snacks but it will do. She will eat anything. She's on a food that apparently changes the gene structure from a fat storer to a fat burner. It's been 6 weeks and I have yet to see any results but we will carry on.
