We are Blockgenic, a block producer candidate based in Seattle, US. We are a very diverse team spread across continents and cultures. We believe blockchain technology will fundamentally change our social and economic systems, and EOS.IO will be the one bringing it into the mainstream. Our biggest strength is our network. We bring strong connections to big fortune 500 companies.We will be allocating a significant portion of our reward tokens to provide staking for network resources to support the fastest growing Dapps and work on educating/attracting enterprises and new Dapps into the EOS ecosystem.

Celu Ramasamy, co-founded Focus Investments in 2014, one of the earliest and most successful digital asset funds. He is an early backer of 40+ blockchain protocols and companies. Previously at Dreamworks Animation, Celu has made contributions to Oscar-nominated feature films that have cumulatively grossed over $2 Billion worldwide. He is a published author and regular speaker at various international new media conferences for his pioneering research into immersive media technologies.

JK is a 20-year technology veteran at Microsoft. He is the author of seven Internet (IETF) standards on authentication, identity, and cryptography. He also holds 7 granted patents focused on security. He has managed and built key consumer and enterprise security features into widely used products such as Windows and managed the security of critical cloud infrastructure including Bing and Azure. He was responsible for managing and planning the capacity of all of the Microsoft Cloud Data Centers, numbering several hundred thousand servers. At Microsoft, he is currently focused on evaluating and protecting all of Microsoft IP related to security.

Bruce has a combined 20 years of Research & Development experience at top companies spanning Wall Street and Hollywood. As son of one, Nunzio Tartaglia – Wall Street’s “first quant”, Bruce has been at the intersection of finance, technology, and research for most of his life. He has presented the ongoing current state of the blockchain research and ecosystems to NBCUniversal, Dreamwork R&D, and Riot Games. His graphics and visualization work led to his development of Academy Award-nominated rendering and graphics software at Dreamworks Animation. He has credits on over 30 films, oversaw the development of Dreamworks’ online educational games and has worked at Disney, Warner Brothers, and Sony to name a few. He has authored 5 patents and has been published by ACM SIGGRAPH. He is also the recipient of 6 DWA Tech Achievement Awards.

Jim is a proven enterprise sales leader with a 20-year track record. He is an advisor to Hotelscan, LodgIQ and a board member of Western Washington University Leadership Institute. As division Vice President at TravelClick, built new enterprise major accounts division and increased revenues $18M in one year, oversaw $25M budget with P&L responsibilities. Later as Vice President of Sales at Zumobi, built successful partnerships with MGM, Caesars, Ford, Microsoft, MSNBC, Fiat-Chrysler, Source Interlink, GM, and Toyota. As part of the executive team at RESAAS, lead revenue generation for three of the largest real estate sales organizations (Keller-Williams and HSF), the 20 largest local real estate associations, and the National Association of Realtors with P&L responsibility for $10M budget. He is part of the founding team of TedxSeattle and author of an award-winning book on Sales & Marketing.

Yannick is focused on our community relations. He is an early Ethereum investor and an avid cryptocurrency enthusiast. He is an expert at breaking down complex topics around cryptocurrencies and blockchain into relatable terms for cryptocurrency beginners. He has extensive experience as a community manager for several online and local communities. He is a regular speaker at several local cryptocurrency meetups and has been educating people about cryptocurrencies for many years.

Yang is focused on our community relations. He is a University of Washington graduate with professional software development experience at AWS. He has also worked as an assistant analyst at the Beijing based investment firm Kunwu Jiuding Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. Yang is an enthusiast of blockchain technology and is an early contributor to EOS communities in China. An entrepreneur at heart, he started a package delivery business and an online fruit vending business during his college days.

1.Why did you choose to become an EOS Block Producer Candidate?

We choose to become an EOS Block Producer Candidate because we have some very accomplished members in our team who have had very successful careers and are looking for a way to give back to the world in general and they see blockchain technology as one of the most promising ways to do so. EOS through the Block Producer candidacy provides a way to accomplish that.

2.What is our advantage / unique value proposition?

Our strength lies in our team, which has 70 years of combined enterprise experience across top media and technology companies, managed a 20 million dollar blockchain investment fund, is responsible for generating over 35 million dollars in enterprise sales, holds 12 granted patents for enterprise solutions, 7 of which are security related, is responsible for evaluating and protecting all of Microsoft’s security related IP, built key consumer and enterprise security into Windows, managed security of critical cloud infrastructure, including Bing and Azure and managed the planning of all the Microsoft cloud data centers, numbering several hundred thousand servers.

3.If you win the vote, how will you contribute to the development of the EOS network?

We have strong enterprise ties at some of the top companies around the world. We will be able to educate and onboard big players onto the EOS ecosystem. We also have a strong team with a lot of enterprise experience that can add a lot of strength to the Eos ecosystem.

4.Some people think EOS is not completely decentralized, what is your opinion about this?

EOS is not completely decentralized, but that is exactly what makes EOS so good. EOS makes use of DPoS (Delegated Proof of Stake) which means that the top 21 Block Producers (based on the amount of votes they receive) will have all the power in the network. Thanks to DPoS big exploits and hacks can easily be reversed without having to fork. Besides, having all the power of the network evenly distributed over 21 Block Producers makes the EOS network more decentralized than Bitcoin, where more than 90% of the total hash power is in the hands of only 7 entities. In order for blockchain to go mainstream, it requires adaptation of companies and people, from our experience companies, seem to prefer a blockchain like EOS that has governance and arbitration built into it.And we're the organizers of the Seattle offline party.

5.What're the average people join your meetup?

We had a sold out meetup for our last one...it was 70 ppl...which was our max capacity.

7.Can you guys introduce about UBI? What's that related to EOS?

As a team, we are super passionate about Universal Basic Income(UBI) and the concept of inclusive growth. Rapid technology growth is leaving behind a big portion of the world’s population that is not involved in technology or tech-related activities. This has lead to a widening knowledge and wealth gap in societies across the globe.

Universal Basic Income is an important concept that can make the current rapid technology progress become socially sustainable in the long run. We love working with a Blockchain network like EOS whose values are centered around a collaborative commons ideology. This ideology resembles a village that works together to preserve their common resources to be able to take care of each other. We think of the EOS community as a global village that needs to work together across continents and cultures to progress as a unified group, setting an example for the rest of the world.

There has been a tremendous amount of interest around Universal Basic Income in the EOS community. There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes. We wanted to do our part to help the conversation. We have reached out to some of the top experts in the field of UBI who are doing some very impactful work around the world, to get an understanding of the current state of UBI and the challenges facing them. We plan to summarize our findings in a white paper to the EOS community, to start some conversations around the topic. We plan to release a translated Mandarin version of the white paper to the Chinese community as well, to get you guys involved in the conversations as well. We think there is a tremendous opportunity for us to come together as a global community to do meaningful work in this area.

8.Based on your team member's background. You have a deep relationship with Media and Movie industry.
Do you think that's very related to Blockchain?
What could Blockchain help Movie and Media industry in your opinion？

Yes, All industry is going to get on blockchain...because blockchain is the next internet...
Movie Business has been getting a lot of competition from new online platforms like Netflix and other streaming platforms...
So they are looking for innovative ways to compete with platforms like Netflix...they are actively exploring innovative ways to do that...in fact behind ge scenes we are working with Dreamworks to help them understand the strengths of blockchain/EOS and how it can help them achieve long-term business goals...
But its a long process..we are just starting it now...I'm done now.

9.Do you have any plan for China? Any other EOS activities you guys will join in China?

Currently, Liu Yang is responsible for contacting Chinese community. We plan to have an Asia Tour after June EOS main net coming up. Have some face to face conversation with you all.

10.You have an outstanding team. They all very successful in their career. So most of you still have other full-time job right？Anyone doing blockchain/EOS for full-time?

Celu and Jk are involved full time in the team...
Our other team members are core part of ge team but they are involved with other projects as well.

EOS虽然不是完全的去中心，但这也是造就EOS如此优秀的原因，EOS使用DPOS共识，当选的21个节点，共同拥有网络的权利，即使被攻击也可以流转，而无需分叉，由于EOS的21个节点的权利是均分的，而比特币，超过90%的算力却掌握在七个组织机构，因此EOS比比特币更去中心化。区块链想要走向主流，就需要公司和人们的使用，我从我们经验来看，公司都喜欢像EOS这样的技术，因为他有良好的治理和仲裁。同时我们又是西雅图线下聚会的组织者。

5.你们在西雅图的线下聚会一般多少人来参加？

我们上次线下聚会所有票都卖光了，有70个人来参加，是我们房间最大的承受量了。

6.你们是西雅图地区唯一的EOS线下社群吗？

我们是西雅图地区唯一的EOS线下社群。

7.可以介绍一下UBI吗？ 跟EOS有什么关系？

作为团队，我们对通用基本收入（UBI）和包容性增长的概念充满热情。快速的技术增长遗留下了世界上大部分不涉及技术或技术相关活动的人口。这导致全球社会的知识和贫富差距日益扩大。

是的，所有行业都会受到区块链的影响，因为这是下一代的互联网。
电影商业受到了很多的竞争，比如像是Netfliex之后的平台。所以电影行业在积极的寻找解决方案来和Netflix竞争。我们幕后就在和梦工厂合作，帮助他们更多的了解区块链及EOS的优势，希望能帮助到他们解决商业上的问题。
但是这是一个漫长的过程，我们已经在做了。

9.你们在中国区有什么计划吗？在中国还有其他EOS相关活动吗？

目前由LiuYang主要负责和中国区联络，我们打算6月主网上线后进行一个Asia Tour，去和大家面对面聊聊。

10.你有一个优秀的团队。他们在事业上都很成功。是不是大部分人还有其他全职工作?有全职做区块链/ EOS的人吗？

我和JK都是团队的全职人员，
