This year I've learnt that true happiness comes from helping others rather than trying to make big money!!

At the start of this year I was working as a manager for a large company and I wasn't happy. I was making good money but working long hours, I was exhausted, I was miserable and my family life was really suffering. After 15years of working for this big company I came to a crossroads and I looked myself in the mirror and I said "do you really want to do this for the rest of your life ?" The answer was a "Hell No"!!! The first thing that I worked out was that I had another 40 years of work ahead of me as I am only 32years of age, so I may as well be doing something I Love instead of spending the rest of my working life being miserable, so I had the courage to leave and I have never looked back. The second thing I did was write down what I thought all my strengths and weaknesses were to try and narrow down a career path that would best suit my personality the best. I came to the conclusion that it needed to be a job that gave me some personal satisfaction a career that was rewarding and that impact others in a positive way, I needed to spend more time with my family because that's what I value most in this life. I stayed positive and Everything seemed to align and I thank God that it did because within a week I I was told about this interesting job so I made some enquiries and after 2 weeks I was at an interview to work with troubled teens that were on the verge of being suspended or expelled from school. With no prior experience I went to the interview with a great attitude and a will to succeed and I got the job. Everyday I work with boys from all works of Life with all sorts of issues and you know what I can say that all they need is just some Love and for someone to care. I've been blessed in my Life and it feels so good to give back to kids that need help and I can honestly say that I am now doing my dream job of helping young teens reach their full potential. This last year has been the best year of my life. I could of chased the big money and even though my wage has dropped significantly I can at least say that I am trying to make a difference to the world. image.jpegMy advice to anyone that's struggling in job that they hate would be would be to just follow your dreams, it's never too late, don't focus on big money but rather work on things that inspire others and yourself to be better people and have fun doing it along the way, always smile . When you're dead and gone I think the greatest legacy you canimage.jpeg leave won't be about how much money you have but rather how you made people feel and that's why I believe true happiness doesn't come from money but from helping others😀😀😀 image.jpeg
