Hello dear Steemit Community!

Unbelievable – soon it’s christmas and again the following questions coming up: „What present shall I give to my loved ones this year?“

And I do not know about you, but every year I find it harder to find really useful and beautiful gifts for my dearest. My gift ideas are either too expensive, already 10 times given, they have it already or they do not really need it and it is only lying around somewhere after Christmas anyway…
do you know what i mean too?

If you feel like me on this, I have a new and from my point of view, maybe even a very innovative gift idea that you certainly have not considered so far.

Meant is a Bitcoin gift certificate. A voucher, in which you give your loved ones an individual amount as a cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin. Simply buy the desired number of bitcoins you want and transfer them to a so-called "paperwallet". With such a paperwallet a code is generated and this can then be printed quite normally as a voucher on paper. And ready is your innovative Christmas present!!

This really makes it an interesting Christmas present, which your loved ones will never have received before, which costs you only as much as you are willing to spend, and maybe the coolest thing about it, the gift could even over time still worth much more. If the value of Bitcoin, as in this year, continues to increase in value in the future, a small amount quickly becomes worth a lot more.

Just search for „bitcoin paperwallet“ on the internet. There are already various providers displayed. I have found this for myself: www.bitcoinpaperwallet.com and www.bitaddress.org. Just try it out with a small amount to see how it works and if it convinces you, you can pass on your knowledge as an gift to your loved ones.

If you do not know how to buy bitcoin, just visit Steemit here under the category "Bitcoin". There are already many helpful and interesting postings to this topic.

Write me how you like my idea and what you have for gift ideas for your loved ones.

I wish you a great pre-Christmas time and great gift ideas.

Until next time.

Regards

At this point also a big thank you to Kaffeebart, who worked out and designed the great Christmas graphic for me. Here is his profilepage:

I totally thought about doing this too. A lot of my friends and family have all heard about bitcoin through me but none of them have actually gone out and bought any.. is it time to just gift it to them with the gains I've made over the last year? Would they even appreciate that, or take some initiative to learn a little more about blockchain technology and how bitcoin is the future? 🤔😬 what do you guys think?

If your family already knows Bitcoin, that's great. And a gift is a gift. I think, it does not matter if it's good or bad, as long as it's given with love ;-) Happy Christmas

Great idea... or you could show them how to set up a Steemit account over the Holidays and send them $10 of Steem to get started ! That is what I'm going to do.

That is also a very good idea. Then a happy given.

She pretended that she needed a top of the line laptop for work so she had me help her build it and pick it out. Duh it was for me, but I was still surprised lol and quite grateful.

lol - also unusual :-) and really smart :-) thanks for sharing

Nice post! I upvoted and followed you. Can you check my last blog post about crypto: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@cryptoizotx/crypto-market-sentiment-update-december-3-2017 ?

Thank you very much and i followe you too now and resteemt you. Have a good time.

Great idea. I was just thinking about a present for my girlfriend when this post came along. But I’m not sure I’d go for BTC... There are a good number of coins with an equal (or better) possibility to go up in price...

You're right, it does not have to be bitcoin, of course. I've just mentioned it as an example, since it's probably the best known. I wish you happy giving and wonderful christmas days.
