The other day I decided to walk and take pictures of places where I was.
1 . In the lobby, the transition between metro stations "Alexander Nevsky Square 1" and " Alexander Nevsky Square 2"
Alexander Nevsky is an Orthodox Prince of Holy Russia (1221-1263).
2 . Inside the metro station Mayakovskaya.
Mosaic portrait of the poet and the original name of the station.
Mayakovsky Vladimir Vladimirovich is one of the largest poets of the XX century.
The building is the entrance to the metro Mayakovskaya
3 . This is the entrance to the metro station Vladimirskaya.
On the place of this building there was a two-storeyed house of Church of the Vladimir mother of God. Therefore, the metro is called Vladimirskaya.
Thank you for watching.
Russian subways are beautiful. I knew Moscow has amazing metro artwork. The St Petersburg ones are so nice also. Very impressive.
