UNCOMFORTABLE SILENCES
There are people with whom the conversation flows so naturally that you lose track of time, but there are others with whom you feel so uncomfortable that you can't stop looking at your watch, your cell phone, everything that somehow I managed to get you out of the awkward moment.
The uncomfortable silences seem funny to me because that's when the strangest questions come to your mind. If you barely know the person, you don't want to look like a stranger from the first moment, so you try to fill the silence with conversations about trivial things like,"What do you like to do?". or "what are you studying?"followed by the classic" and you?" by the other person and by another silence until someone comes up with something else to ask.
And, strangely enough, you can experience uncomfortable silences with people you meet all your life and with whom you interact in your daily life because you've never experienced the discomfort from the beginning of your friendship either because you've always been surrounded by other people or because they're really friends because they have friends in common and that's it.
There are people you meet today and they end up talking about how their grandmother taught her to cook from the big nothing. It's all influenced by how others perceive it and how scorching your vibes are. I say this because I feel that there are people with vibrations so positive that you feel like telling them your deepest secrets, but there are others whose vibrations inspire you not to talk too much and you just have to observe, wait and analyze before doing or saying anything.
I feel likewise that no matter how positive a person's vibes are, if yours are not perceived in the same way, perhaps the way that person acts, it changes completely. The vibes have to complement each other in some way so that chemistry exists and uncomfortable silences do not exist. Although, if you ask me, what is life without discomfort? Absolutely boring.
Do not be believe, from uncomfortable moments can come out inseparable friendships because there is nothing that unites more than two beings that to spend pain, that pinch of nudity between both, a little intimacy, a touch of annoyance, that feeling of and now what? I say this because, by covering up the awkward silences, there are people who can ask or do the strangest things to break the ice. I love those people. I aspire to be one of those people in my life.
So live the uncomfortable silences! Long live the people who dare anything! Long live the weird people! Long live the icebreakers! Long live the discomfort! Long live chemistry! Long live you! Long live me!
