Let's open our eyes and live better
I am super sad, I know people who want a lot who have a hard time because they are afraid of something / someone, because they ridicule, insult, ignore, mistreat ... and fuck, too many times these people who have a hard time are told "Do not say nonsense" or "do not exaggerate". These people are vulnerable and I do not want anything bad to happen to them T_T
And no matter how irrational or unfounded your fear is, it is not nonsense. Today if someone is harassed / abused / raped too many times it is said "I was looking for it", for a way of dressing or acting.
And no, a woman can go sexy, a child can go pink, some people can be homosexual, others can change sex and it's not their fault for not complying with the standards, it's because we have assimilated, normalized , internalized harmful social norms.
Those rules are the real nonsense, not the fear of those who are oppressed by them. And we can support those people who are afraid, but we can not teach them not to attract attention, or how not to be mistreated / harassed / humiliated. What you have to teach is to everyone else to respect and not harass / mistreat.
Because equality and respect, still, we are far from having achieved them.
"Ronin committed suicide, aged 12, because of the bullying that his classmates were subjecting him to.
Ronin was a cheerleader, "animator", the only boy animator of his school in California. His companions harassed him until Ronin had to leave school and began to receive classes at home. A few weeks later, he committed suicide.
Today we should remember that power is not the State, but is in the norm imposed by institutions with their discourse. Currently, it is a rule that prevents children wearing pink backpacks, skirts, or are animators, and that those few brave enough to try, are insulted to death.
The revolution will be LGTBi and antinormative or it will not be. "
"We live in a society in which, if your child's bed is too small, instead of looking for a bigger bed, we cut a child's leg." - a friend.
"I can not say there is progress. If they put a 20-centimeter knife in my hand and take it out 6 centimeters, that's not progress. If they take it out completely, it is not progress either. Progress is to start healing the wound left by the knife.
But we have not taken out the knife, let alone started to heal the wound. In fact, it is not even admitted that there is a knife. "
