This is a relatively short clip from my last performance at "The Benson House of Decatur".
The song "Tennessee Waltz" was a special request from the audience.
Whenever possible, I try to do that, give them what they want.
I left in some banter at the end, showing some back and forth with a couple of quite young persons, who were there to visit grand parents.
The event was a "Barbershop Quartet" theme ice cream social.
Of course I couldn't do a quartet, but I did my best to come up with the look and as much of that type and era song selections.
I gave them the sad news that I would be taking a few months hiatus for health reasons. This made them all sad.
I got the check for this performance today in the mail. It was folded up in a nice note from the AD.
"Dear Jerry
We Thank you for coming to play at our Barbershop Quartet Ice Cream Social.
As always, it was such a pleasure. Hoping all is well and hope to book you again soon!
Thanks, Jenny'
THIS IS A COVER, I do not OWN THIS SONG, but I do own this video.

What a great song and performance! I think I first heard this when I worked on the Goldenrod Showboat many moons ago. Hope all is well with you, Jerry! Keep singing and smiling!

I HAVE added some "noodling" during the break, to help me not get so bored
With playing it the same way all the time. Many times it opens me up for
More requests for other state songs, which except for "Georgia on my
Mind" I don't know any. Oh well, the interplay between us is what's
Important to me, they enjoy it as do I; it's a win-win situation.
