That white stuff is called snow.

I set of in the AM at around 10 ish to pick this bike up. The journey should have been 1 hour each way in ideal conditions, it though took 1 hour 40 and 1 hour 50 return. Plus the time agreeing the deal plus a lot of extras like the needed gaskets to rebuild it.

At times we could not see the road for snow, everything looked just white and very slippy. The trailer at times took to trying to overtake us in the car, though sideways, fun - fun - fun.

I enjoyed the challenge all the same, as I will enjoy the challenge with regards to repairing it.

I do though now appreciate my usual courier who does it for me, a lot more than I did before.

Bidbots.

With regards to the idea I wrote about before, The emergency and disaster loan/grants fund and a separate account.
I am going to see if it is possible to earn the 10% profit bidbots claim. If it is a 10% positive, I see no reason why this 10% could not fund the whole initiative from the off, with nobody else having to put any steem or sbd towards it.

I would also be willing to power down weekly from the 3000 sp I find myself at after 6 months using this account and put that towards it.

To see if this claim of 10% is true, I shall be boosting this post using 100 steem, via bots, and then working out the total return after 7 days. Outside market forces will make a difference due to price fluctuations.

This is early days, and I am only trying to find a way of this emergency loan fund being self sustaining, and not requiring other peoples donations.
And also trying to find a way to make it so that no interest is required for repayments.

I can see other ways of doing this also, though for now, I will run this experiment, and see the outcome.
If you have any ideas of course they are welcome. It would also be great if I/we could attract a witness who has time to join in, even if it is only to share the keys to the account with, for total transparency, we will see.

The aim is to make small loans or grants to people who are in situations where they find they have no food, electric or other "necessities"... Interest free, or grant based with no repayment.

Could it branch out into steem based employment and a regular wage for them too? I see no reason why not, though the finer details I am still working on at the moment.

Long term solutions and short term loans is the aim of the game. How we get there to be decided, so bring those ideas to the table.

I am not afraid of failing with this.

I am afraid of not trying, nothing changes without people trying. You willing to join in?.....

@shepz1 goes on the hunt via steembottracker now, and loves the statistics game too, it adds to the fun for me, working out the timing of bots, the % earned or lost etc etc etc, I am that person that spends hours looking at football stats including average crowds, boring for some, intriguing for me.

Stay awesome my friends.

I don't know there's so many cons out there. When I first was on here the person who talked me into coming here did a big fundraiser to buy computers for these centers where kids lived so they could blog on Steemit to make extra income. I warned him that my impression of the guy he was going to do this for that this mans own fundraisers seemed skeptical to me. My impression of one of them was he was taking supplies delivered by churches/missions and slapping steemit posters on them to then claiming they were buying the stuff from money made off steemit. I was also skeptical of how they were displaying the stuff outside, it appeared to be in the format of how you would set up stuff to sell on a table market style not a display you'd show if you were just showing what you obtained. There were other give aways also like how the toothpaste, toothbrushes and other personal items were packaged in clear plastic bags, that's indicative of how missions/churches package items to hand out in small individual bundles quickly to the masses who show up for these donations. If an individual in Venezuela was buying this stuff and with the prices of stuff there they wouldn't be wasting money buying plastic bags when people are starving, another dead giveaway was huge banners with steemit written across them hung up, that had to be pretty costly to produce there also, plus t shirts with steemit on them. Some area's of the country are not effected by what's going on over there, if they are not effected then they are not in the same need category. There's also the accusation that some over there are taking supplies coming in and other shortage of food items and selling them at incredible prices to those in need. Anyway, I told him I wouldn't trust this guy. Was I right? I'd say. He never bought computers . He claimed he'd make a post what he did with the money...I am not sure if he ever did or not show what he did with the money I never seen a posting but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. There's other stuff to that caught my eye but anyway the point is that so many are out for themselves you just never know.
The guy who highlighted the other day I went and read his blog. I was like this is really cool he put up individual pictures of the people he intended to help. Then my nay sayer side started to kick in...that's because of how this platform is run, there's so many people running around on here with multiple accounts that they are finding ways to take money from one account to another, or could this be their own family and friends they are funding...etc., etc., because just like the pictures the other guys showed of kids/people in that county none looked to be in the dire straights you see coming out in photos from the MSM. I know your heart is in the right place, that's a given since you are always looking out for people one way or another, there's just so much dishonesty on this site and it was basically built to enrich a couple hundred people who mined the site prior to releasing it (I know I don't have to explain that to you) making near impossible to deliver that what they promise to the masses who have come after, the system is skewed in their favor. I sat and wrote a story a couple weeks ago, there was a reasonable offer on the table for my efforts if I succeeded, I could also put it to someone's attention that another if offended by something I have to say/said wouldn't dare go to my blog and flag everything unrelated into oblivion. I don't mind working towards a goal but honesty, integrity has to be there, when a system is set up to a disadvantage and can be punitive to opinions to sometimes hide the truths to those who speak out it's really hard to trust or take some people at their words.

One thing is certain: many here are not who or what they say they are. There certainly is a core group who use flaggards to protect their interests.

And aint that the truth.

I hear you on that, though regardless of "them" some of us "me" do not need money, I have enough and a pension that kicks in in another 2 years also, that makes it so I never have to worry about the fire starter called money ever again.

Leaving that lot aside, I have found some wonderful people on here, that genuinely know those in need, and in this select group I trust, and it is only going to cost me a little time, and some bs internet tokens, so I pretty much have nothing to lose, I do get where you are coming from 100% though.

I hope you didn't think I was questioning your integrity, that definitely wouldn't be happening, you wouldn't be a "best" in my book and you'd probably already sent me packing....lol.

No, the thought never crossed my mind. :-)

Found you!, How are you doing @shepz1?, i was just dropping by with a message:

Thank You!, elaborating more, i just wanted to show my appreciation for your donation for the ''Santa Venezuela'' initiative, it really helped, not just me, but a whole bunch of other Venezuelans like me. I appreciate your compassion and i really hope that goodwill comes back to you a hundredfold.

Thank you for your support!

Thank you very much, warm words are worth a million fire starters called money, you just made my night. Thank you.

Drifting a trailer in the snow haha well done:) Looking forward to you're findings on the bidbot payouts.

Seems well up from 10% so far. More like 35%

Wow 35% now that is an awesome return on investment let's hope that figure holds close or better at payout time.

Drifting a trailer in the snow with a motorbike in it lol, the good lady was not impressed at first, she was laughing after though. :-)

At least she got with the idea :)

Interested to see how you go with bots - a key thing is whether the price of Steem is rising or falling, along with voting at the right time - here are my bot notes:

a Buildawhale 72 - best for rep, 2nd best payouts, no comments - my pick if available
a Smartsteem 70 - good for payouts and rep - no comments
b Appreciator 62 - best payouts, but a lower rep than mine - no comments
d Postpromotor 54 - average payouts but low rep and does comments
d Rocky1 62 - average payouts, no comments
d Therising 57 - low payouts
d Upme 48 - low rep, low payouts and does comments
d Upmewhale 62 - ok payouts - but does comments
x Boomerang 53 - payouts all over the place, and does comments
x Booster 61 - low payouts and does comments

Never heard of pospromoter before. upme and upmewhale no longer do comments, I think the only one that does now is booster, and I have never used that 1 before. I used 110 steem and at this moment in time it is 150 back so +40 steem, though as you say, external prices may drive that up or down by payout time.

I'm using a bot vote or two on every post I do now - it's the only way my rep will ever go up but there are only two bots with reps high enough to help.

I seem to come out slightly ahead most of the time, and a $2 payout now is worth $20 if Steem goes back up to over $3.

I'd do higher votes but there is hardly any space to place votes over $10 so I only do $5-$10 votes on either bot - no more $200 posts!

Have to do the votes at the right time - NZ 8pm is good

And it's an insurance against being flagged by spastic wankers.

Yes this place can be full of spastics, at least now their vote or flag is almost like they are, irrelevant. :-)

Sadly I just get "your browser does not support this" blah blah blah.

Bugger - I'm just using a regular version of Firefox, and Chrome or Opera would work I think.

Your bike is nearly as nice as my '81 xt 500 ;)

Which bike? I have over 30 of them lol.

I only know of the berg in this post. :) Love enduros.
Which bikes do you have?

Also I've read from german steemians who use their steem to buy delegations.
But can't tell you the exact ROI .

Yz 250 1985, Suzuki's gt 125 twin 1982, rg500 1984, ts50 1979. Yamaha's rd 350 lc ypvs 1985, a couple of rd 250 and 350 lc's, 4 Kawasaki gpz 900 r's, Honda vf750f, Some Polish bikes. Kawasaki klr 650 tengai. 2 x Aprilia rs 250.
Yamaha tzr 125 x 4, sachs xtc 125 2000 (last of the 2 stroke models) Ktm gs 125 1985. And around another 10 I can not think of off the top of my head. :-)

damn
Do you have a picture, where you can see all your bikes? :D

Lol no, I have some in a barn, some in my old farm house (disused), some in 2 workshops, some under a local bank, which is guarded 24 hours a day, that is where my collection of never to sell sits. :-)

good!
A picture would still be cool ^^

I have a 1998 Aprilia rs 125 in bits to restore also.

and the other ones all run?

Not all, half are in bits waiting to be restored, some like the rd 350 ypvs will be finished by spring, others will have to wait for when I have time, the husaberg I am working on this week. I have a WSK racer that I work on from time to time also.
