There is plenty of evidence that the Vikings traveled all over north America a very long time ago, and that they followed rivers far into the inland areas. I still want to try to get to Heavener Oklahoma to see the Runestone, a huge stone stele set upright in the bottom of a gulch, one side covered in ancient nordic runes. We know they sailed with captured Celtic girls to the mideast. They probably traveled the whole world.
