It's incredible to me how much the tide has turned on this, when I spent a solid year to a year and a half getting called every horrible name in existence because I actively criticized this nonsense from the outset.
New York Magazine has just caught up to where I was in like... April 2020. And not because the "science changed". It didn't.
The evidence in favor of lockdowns was NEVER good. The statistics autocratic germophobes used to justify their policies (assuming they even bothered trying to justify them at all) were insane. The data collection was trash all over the place; the preexisting evidence and best practices from decades of previous study was ignored; these jackasses literally scoffed at the mere suggestion that we should do some cost benefit analysis before upending our entire society.
I got told that I wanted grandmas to die because I'm "greedy" and some kind of sociopath who thinks "the economy" is more important than people's lives, when as I've said repeatedly from the beginning, the economy is people's lives.
I have videos from that time predicting an increase in suicides, drug overdoses, domestic violence, third world starvation, and months or years of significant economic problems that would not end when lockdowns ended. And... I was right about all of that. I did not need the "Intelligencer" to tell me, because I came in with a baseline of economics understanding and because I actually spent time reading studies.
It's deeply frustrating to watch the entire establishment media finally catch up to reality long after it's too late to matter, especially after leading the witch hunt against people who challenged the narrative.
