It's finally snowing enough in London for it to settle on the ground! ❄️❄️
Growing up in South Africa where Christmas Day temperatures usually exceed 30 degrees, traditional Christmas cards depicting snowy scenes couldn't have been more alien to me.
When I moved to the UK I was so excited to see snow for the first time and even more thrilled at the prospect of a magical white Christmas, my mother had told me stories about when she was a child and snow would be up to your knees!
But here in modern London it doesn't happen very often at all.
Today, to my delight I woke up to see a thick layer of snow as far as the eye could see. Everything looks so beautiful under a dusting of white powder, even the tube stations.
Snow makes me feel like such a kid and has put me in the festive spirit!
Perhaps the illusive White Christmas may come this year after all? 🎄☃️
