A nice project we did in London Hydepark!
This years theme is underwater. and we had the honor to create a Submarine out of a big block of snow.

The snow we had was diferend than other years!
I guess the machine to create the snow was running a bit to fast or mabe the people who are guiding the snow blowing hose are using to less wather for mixing it!

The snow is made in a truck outside the tent. Inside the truck is a bath of wather wherin a steel cylinder is slowley rolling arround. The steel cylinder is very cold so that the water is freezing on it! Than a scraper breaks the ice that than falls down in some sort of a revolving hose!
The hose is blowing the snow out in to the tent!
in there it will be guided into the forms. basically they are made of plywood.
we need to mix the snow with wather so it can be compacted and it will be stick together better.

we end op with a nice submarine in the end.
The lights in it will be more dimmed before the opening
and everything els will be nicely decorated with ice sculptures like divers and sharks etc.

more is comming. my next challenge is in Basel Europapark making the little mermaid.
