Hyperion is the longest tree in the world, discovered by American naturalists, Chris Atkins and Michael Taylor, on August 25, 2006. It is currently 739 feet long (115. 7 meters) long, twice as long as the Statue of Liberty. This tree belongs to the family of red trees called Sequoia Evergreen, which is the longest tree in the world.This giant family of trees is characterized by greenery throughout the year.
