Long Exposure - Firework Display

in longexposurephotography •  7 years ago

For the #longexposurephotography competition by @photocontests I thought I’d enter a photograph I took nearly 5 years ago when photography was a huge part of my life.

Taken at one of the UKs biggest events with my Canon 550D and 18-55mm kit lens, I used a simple piece of cardboard covering the lens. To take photographs I would quickly move the card to expose the light to the lens as the firework goes up and again when it explodes. This required a tripod and remote!

Hopefully you all like this photo, it was my first time ever taking photographs of fireworks!

Usual posts will be back up and running on Wednesday!
