I have recently had the opportunity to practise taking long exposure photos, which I don’t usually have the chance, as taking photos of marine mammals doesn’t exactly allow you this style of photography.
All I can say is that it was a lot of fun to use techniques that are out of my comfort zone to say the least.

Wow thats awesome! I've been playing around with long exposures too lately, mainly trying to nail getting a star stream photo. They always turn out over exposed. Still practicing. NEW FOLLOWER!
