Wednesday Through Saturday Look Great But Iffy Sunday Monday Memorial Day

Wednesday Through Saturday Look Great But Iffy Sunday Monday Memorial Day
We do have some shower issues to deal with today as the next warm front cold front combination make their way through. Clouds are already thickening up and showers are coming in from the west on the latest radars below. The good news is that this is the one day out of the next 5 that we will have issues. What follows is something that doesn't happen often in the spring and that is 4 nice weather days in a row beginning Wednesday and lasting into Saturday.

Showers will play their way through here this afternoon and evening and then a cold front passes offshore. Temperatures today will likely hold in the 60s and be not to far from there overnight. Wednesday brings improvement with decreasing clouds and increasing sunshine by mid morning and a mostly sunny warm but dry afternoon with highs reaching the upper 70s to near 80. Thursday looks good with lots of sun with highs in the 70s to near 80. We should be into the 80s Friday and Saturday and then the next cold front arrives Saturday night with some showers or a thunderstorm.
Sunday & Monday are problematic. 2 things are going on. First we have a wind off the ocean which is always a spring issue. The second is we have a feed of tropical moisture to the south that will be tied to a system in the Gulf of Mexico. This system may or may not become a tropical depression or a tropical storm but the moisture could have impact here beginning later Sunday into Monday. At the very least there will be clouds and cooler temperatures Sunday with an east wind. Whether showers make it this far north is another matter and will likely depend on what transpires in the Gulf of Mexico. This is the puzzle for the coming days. It would be safe to suggest that clouds and the chance for showers exists for later Sunday and Monday and we will leave it at that for now until we can get this all sorted out.
