Belmont Track Fast for Justify

Wispy high clouds have been streaming in from the west but not enough to mask away the sunshine. It has been a nice day so far and a warm one as temperatures make a run to the mid and upper 70s though if you are at the shore 60s are the rule with the breeze off the ocean. There are no weather issues for the rest of today and tonight with nothing more than a few clouds. This will be a nice evening to be outside with reasonable temperatures and humidity.

EASTERN SATELLITE LOOP

No radar issues are indicated and for Long Island we will likely have no rain to deal with through the daytime Sunday. There is the chance for perhaps a passing shower Saturday night as a cold front moves through. The main issues this weekend will be how much cloud cover and the wind direction.

Saturday we will see some clouds but we will also have some sunshine. We will have more of a westerly component to the wind so it should be on the warm side with highs in the upper 70s to ear 80 though again it will be a little lower at the shore. A cold front passes through Saturday night and drops southward. A big high building down from New England should pin any showers on Sunday well to our south. So the issue becomes how much cloud cover. This will keep temperatures lower on Sunday along with an ocean wind so most highs will just be in the 60s.

With no rain in the forecast for Saturday you can expect a fast track for the Belmont Stakes tomorrow night which should favor Justify. We shall see about that.
