Most people who hit the lottery are back to where they were a few years ago.

That is because they had no real plan on what to do once they got rich. So they spend the money on toys or parties or trips but their lack of planning and vision eventually catches up with them. Likewise, a lot of professional athletes who made millions of dollars are poor. They are the ones who hit big paychecks but did not listen to those who wanted to help them prepare.

In 2020 civil rights activists such as Kendi and those in BLM hit the lottery. Tens of millions of dollars were invested in their organization. Some of the money undoubtedly was virtue signalling but some of it was a sincere desire to help marginalized communities. But the money was given to those who did not have a plan that was sustainable. We are seeing the results of just throwing money at the loudest voices today.

It seems that Kendi blew threw 30 million dollars in about 2-3 years. I cannot see how anybody in good conscience could ever give money to him again. BLM also went through tens of millions of dollars in a short period of time and appears to have done little good with it. It would be foolish to give them any more money until there is evidence of a purpose and transparency from that organization. If you are going to give money then do not give money to just assuage a guilty conscience. And do not give money to those who refuse to be held accountable. Do your due diligence and make certain that the money will be used in a proper manner. There are people who are doing good work and actually have viable plans that can help lessen racial tension and/or aid communities of color. Seek them out and support them, instead of just the loudest voices.
