Introducing Steem Powerball. A simple lottery tied to the official US Powerball drawing.
Instructions/Rules
- Cost to enter is 20 Steem tokens (100% goes to the winner). Send 20 Steem to steempowerball and you are entered, simple as that.
- Numbers 1 – 26 are assigned in order to user names as the entries come in to the steempowerball wallet.
- Once a contest of 26 fills I will display the names associated with the number. There can be multiple seperate contests of 26 entrants.
- The official US Powerball number is the winner.
- Payout of winning number is the night of the official US Powerball drawing.
- If there is a partial fill of a contest it does not run,those entries will carry over to the next Powerball drawing (Wednesday and Saturday evenings).
- Multiple entries are ok, but you must send the tokens in separate payments, unless you specify in a wallet comment. Otherwise, any amount over the entry fee will be considered a tip ;-)
- The wallet is the official record. In the case the list of user names and their associated Powerball number are listed wrong, or a list was not created in time, or there is a dispute.
- Cutoff for any entry is 5 minutes before the official drawing.
I am doing this for fun, a way to gamble and no massively take from the reward pool, however, any up-votes are appreciated. I am also not doing this as a money making gambling venture, I just want to organize something simple that allows Steemians to gamble, corruption free, 100% of entry $ will always go to the winner. If there is no interest in this I will just let die.
How can I trust you to pay out the winnings you may ask? This is created and run by @GregM. I got the idea from cigar powerball sales groups, in which a person who wants to sell cigars offers powerball spots instead, at 1/26th of their sales price. Winner gets the cigars.
I hope this isn't frowned upon by the majority of Steemit community, let me know if you have any issue, or issues this can cause. I feel it could be fun and I want to get more involved than just posting cigar review... I mean I'd throw a couple bucks of Steem from time to time in hopes to win 26x the amount. :)
