Lotus flower is a plant native to the Asian continent, inhabiting ponds with fresh water or slow water courses, living in shallow depths. The lotus flower takes root in the muddy bottoms by a vigorous rhizome, from which its large rounded leaves depart, being supported above the water mirrors for long periods.
It produces beautiful white or pink flowers with many large petals. Furthermore, it is well known for the longevity of its seeds, which germinate after 1,300 years.
