LOVE ATTITUDE PART 2

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and he saw him he had compassion on him. And went to to him and bound up his wounds pouring in oil and wine and set him on his own beasts, and brought him to an inn and took care of him. Luke 10:33-34.

Last week we looked at the good Samaritan's of compassion towards the injured man and what is entailed. We how true love should move you to take initiative as far as reaching out to people is concerned whether familiar or unfamiliar.
Today we want to look at the next thing he did.

According to the verse, scriptures says after going to him, he bound up his wounds pouring in oil and wine. But before our Samaritan could do this he would first have to examine the body of the injured person thoroughly to identify to identify any problem which is what we mostly attempt to do after we approach person for the first time or after a while. We normally ask them how they are doing or how is life?. But for many people this question is just a formality or at best a way of being polite. How many of us actually care about the well being of the people we encounter?. It is those who do who will actually identify the issues and struggles that people are actually going through.

After identifying the wounds, the Samaritan did not just leave them there but he poured om it oil and wine. The oil was ointment to help heal the wounds but the wine was like antiseptic to prevent it from getting worse. This is what our words and actions should be towards such people; even if we cant make things better for them ay least we should not make it worse and this would only come to pass when we minister unto them by the spirit of God. He is our oil ( Samuel 16:13) and his our wine (Ephesians 5:18)
