In an age where language has seemingly recoiled from evolution and turned into a series of commands and emojis, an actual handwritten letter holds value.
I am not good with feelings. I am talkative but an introvert. I like animals more than people and when people are kind I don't know how to react because it goes against my first thought that Humans equal Hurt.
I received a series of hand written pages carefully photographed that were written for me through a Discord private message. My jaw dropped and with my jaded outlook, I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised. In fact, the time and patience and sheer kindness of the words made a few tears dribble down my face. I also thought I was all out of tears but every time I think that I am proven wrong usually by some form of suffering.
In this case it was Agape type caring/love. I have never met this person and probably never will, I have had opportunities to meet people from Steemit and refuse all of them. There is something secure and safe by not even letting people hear you, much less get to know you.
IN SPITE of my own foibles and challenges this gesture touched my heart deeply. I forgot that I possessed one anymore, then I read pages of what I can only say is a demonstration of the best of what one human being can give to another...

That's beautiful @battleaxe. In today's busy life, sometimes a simple gesture like holding a door, or writing a thank you letter, or telling someone your thoughts and feelings makes a big difference. I am happy for you 😊

I have a letter somebody has written to me long ago ! This paper is so valuable to me as the words that it contains will forever touch my heart ! I get it out once and awhile to remember what love used to feel like !!

I used to handwrite letters with horrible penmanship. I don't know if it was life or technology but I was soooo much better communicating when it was laborious and slow delivery.

That's absolutely lovely. I have friends who actively engage in keeping letter writing alive, and I think that's wonderful.
Personally, my handwriting was always atrocious, so I feel like I was born a little too early to enjoy the benefit of typing during my school years, and feel freed from that burden.
But getting a beautifully hand written letter still sounds really nice.

We really do live in a world where it's easier to hide oneself from everyone, just to feel safe and secure. Don't hide for too long. Your writing is beautiful and from the heart :) Can't wait to read more.

I don't have beautiful handwriting, but it's neat and tidy. My mother made it a habit to make us write out thank you notes any time we got a gift. I still do that to this day. It is such a simple act that really does not take that much time, yet it means so much!

Nowadays we barely touch a pen in order to write down something. Most of the times we type on a different gadget. It's nice to see that others still appreciate hand writing.
