The authorship of the book of wisdom is attributed to King Solomon, in this book the author reveals one of the mysteries of love, the love gift of God, the perfect love is the love projected towards the whole creation of God, the love of the science, animals, our neighbour: "For you love all things that exist, and detest none of the things that you have made.", Wisdom 11:24.
The text in the Wisdom book also tells us that God does not hate what is created, that is, God is love without passion. For Aristotle the passions are all those psychological movements of the soul accompanied by sadness or joy; thence that there were good or bad passions. The scholastic philosophy, whose founders are Saint Agustine and Tomas Aquinas brings a change, the triple division of man in body, soul and spirit. According to the thinking of these authors, there are no good or bad passions, passions belong to the soul, the attachments to the spirit. For example, hope is an attachment, guilt is a passion; because hope produces joy but guilt sadness.
The passions, according to the scholastic philosophy are psychological imperfections, the unity of God requires the absence of passions, because if there were passions in God, there would be a will for the reason and another will for passion.
The bible teach to us: "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us the command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister." 1 John 4:17-21.
This love that the bible describes to us is a love that cannot be surpassed or improved, this love can only be achieved through grace and the path of mercy: "God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been give to us", Romans 5:5.
