The love of Charity is one of the most transcendental teachings of our Lord Jesus and of the christian faith. Because the love of Charity is the love that comes from wisdom; and of all the forms of love, because love is a genre, this love is the perfect love, the love that cannot be improved, because it is the love united to the perfections of God ("Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect" Matthew 5:48), the love linked to mercy (compassion, kindness, gentleness), to piety (constancy, firmness, devotion), and empathy with others, and for this last reason the apostle John in his first epistle presents to us the nature of the true love (Agape): "If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?" 1 John 3:17.
If we are rich and do not share what we have with others, it is because we are hoarding, developing cloaking strategies, and building walls, which is the opposite of what Jesus taught to us, the mentality according to the flesh is opposed to the mentality according to the spirit. And about this Jesus spoke clearly to his disciples: "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money" Matthew 6:24.
Sin harms our neighbor, and slowly leads man to his own ruin and suffering. On the other hand, that good love edifies, lifts up, establishes progressive improvements, and points the right path; like the love of the Good Samaritan who is internally moved by the misery of his neighbor, it is true that we all have to make our lives, but it is also true that with little we can make great improvements, it is up to us to let ourselves be carried away by that beautiful love of Jesus.
