An image that is very special to me.

That might be the least professional shot i have uploaded up to date but it is the most special to me. Why?

20171021_004117.jpg

Because it is my dad with a huge smile in his face under the tree when we went picking boletus a few weeks ago. Nothing makes me more happy than seeing my folks with huge smiling grins on their faces :)

How many boletus can you count in this image?:)

Your old man with such a grin on his face, priceless. Can never top any professional shot!

That is so true!

Aww such a sweet picture and sentiment! :) I knew they were mushrooms of some sort but I had to actually google “boletus”. One of my favorite things about photography is how we can freeze such special moments in time. Thanks for sharing this :)

Those are one of the top mushrooms for eating and they are VERY delicious!

Brother .. enjoy and honour your parents .. ( as you are doing ) now .. say things to them that you want to ... I lost my father recently .. and there was so much more I wanted to say to him . Peace

Damn mate, i fell for you... i can not even imagine how sad that should feel. My condolences...

Thanks mate .. it's always harder when it's unexpected I guess.

I can't really tell or even imagine... I wish some things in our lives were working in a different way, sadly they are not..

I count 5!

I will not reveal the correct answer just yet :)

It's so good for me to see your father in surrounded by mushrooms! I have unfortunately never found so many big boletus! I need to visit Lithuania!

Oh, you definitely should! But i think we need to wait a bit for now, as you would not enjoy the current climate for sure! ;)

Greatest moments are those spent with the ones you love, lovely!

That is so true, they are special, and i am trying to do this on every occasion that i get. This is the most important thing in life, the people closest to you. And i am blessed with amazing folks!

These moments are priceless David. Wish I had a dad to pick mushrooms with.

I am really sorry to hear that....

Darn you grow giants there! How do you call them in your language?

My bet is 6 :)

In Lithuanian language it is "Baravykas" :) These are quite small actually, there are much bigger giants, but usually they are inhabited by worms already lol

Ah seee? "Borowiki"
I knew it would be something similar. They are so yummy! We usually dry a lot and use them on Christmas dishes.

Oh yes they are :) And so may ways to prepare them, i love risotto with Borowiki!

Oh yumm...
We make pierogi with borowiki, and stuffed cabage with rice and borowiki and borowiki sause... ohhh I am hungry now :P

I think it's a wonderful photo, because your dad's happy there, probably because you're there with him, besides the mushrooms... and because you're happy with the photo too! I'm fascinated - how do you know which are edible...? I would probably eat a toxic one! I think I see 5...?

Actually we are picking just this one kind. So we are not taking the risk, and these are the best:) And i think the whole mood and happiness of the images is exactly for all those reasons you have mentioned, combined :)

Beautiful mushroom-flavoured lovely blend... :)

It is a special feeling seeing those you love happy, isn't it?
I'm happy for you...

Oh yes, and i am sure you know what you are saying mate...
