J and D- Part Three NYC

in love •  7 years ago

Here is the last part of the story and our road trip.

It was great visiting the Big Apple again, but this trip was special, because the reason for the trip was for me to meet my boyfriend's family.

There was one thing that I wanted to do while I was in NYC and that was to stuff my face with cream puffs. Cream puffs are these Japanese pastries that I once tasted in Florida and fell in love with the taste years ago. But the only Beard's Papa that was in Florida, closed and I took this opportunity to have some cream puffs with no guilt trip. We walked for 53 blocks on the way home, so maybe I burned one of them off.
I also bought a box of cream puffs to bring back to J's family to try it. We got the original cream puff and two green tea filled ones. We all had one after dinner that evening and then there were two and half puffs left. They liked it. It was my intention to have one later with J or so.
Only that didn't happen because J's sister ate.them. all. HAHHAHAAH

I think this one is for the books of memories, that's why I am mentioning it. HAHAHA that's so funny. J and I agreed.

Below here are some pics from my day in NYC. We were there for only 2 days.

I like gargoyles . They are so cool.

I think this B&W pic of bikes in Central Park is pretty epic....! What do you think?

On the last day in NYC, J's mom went and got us dim-sum. Talk about delicious.

I also took this picture of the city from a far. It looks like a drawing almost. We were on our wat to Queens for a Japanese buffet dinner, which of course was delicious.

As you can imagine I ate a lot. Apparently, people go back to serve themselves four times. I checked out their desert section and I wasn't too impressed with that one. It was ok.

I snapped a picture of this truck because it says Jay and Dee and that's our initials. Call me silly, I don't care.

Ok, and last but not least ...I received lukcy money from J's parents. In Chinese culture they give you lucky money during Chinese New Year and I guess they also do that when you come into their home or so. You're supposed to use the money for your travels, or whatever you need but it's supposed to bring you good luck. I want to say they already did.

So , I am going to wrap up my NYC post. I had an awesome time. Bonding with my boyfriend and his family brought a lot of joy to me.
I can't wait for the next road trip adventure with my boyfriend. We have been talking a lot about Alaska, but I think that one needs a little bit more planning .

Thank you all for your upvotes. I hope you enjoyed this and stay tuned. My next post is about date night with J in an empty Eastern European restaurant called Ararat.
