The story of my fridge as I named it.

I am the person who used to collect magnets from when I was traveling abroad and would stick them on my fridge, comment below if you are too and give a virtual hi5 :)

My fridge at home in Kumertau, Russia

Well, apart from magnets I also love to stick the pictures of the most important people in my life and in this picture I hope you will be able to see some of them.

I love having my favourite photos of closest people in the fridge at home

I would want to write about the person I #love the most in my life, more than the life itself I guess or something like that. And this person is my father

If you read the article of my forgiveness story -

You know I grew up with my dad, because my mom wasn’t ready to raise a child at the age of 21 and etc, so my dad and I moved to our own place when I was two months old and started the beautiful life.

Baby me and my father

You see raising a child isn’t easy (I assume as I don’t have my own child yet) but raising it just by one parent must be even harder, therefore from the age when I remember myself I would always appreciate my dad doing it and doing it so well.
I never felt any less, I never felt not full or fulfilled in our family.

He would do whatever it takes to ensure I have the needed things for school and beyond. Would make my hair and prepare my dresses for all the New Years celebrations and other holidays at school and many many birthdays my schoolmates had so often.

My dad used to be a teacher of mechanics at school. We lived in a small town in the middle of Russia, where there is in not much work to earn enough money if you want to have nice things and if you want your child to have the computer and phone and etc, so I remember my dad decided to start traveling to St Petersburg to work with his brother and from when I was nine, he started traveling for six and more months to St Pete to work and these were the times when I lived with my grandparents who were helping out him.

Me laughing at myself for cutting my finger during cooking in the age of 24 and my dad not being happy about it

So for the next ten years he was working in another city and coming to our town during the winter times or when I really missed him but again I never felt left out.

I guess where I am going with this is that from the very small family that lived in the middle of nowhere my dad was able to raise a daughter who is dreaming big and who is able to travel to different countries and most importantly who is just a good person. ( a bit weird to write about me this way but i just want to stress how good job he has done :))

Matchy-matchy

And sometimes I feel guilty for leaving him and moving from place to place to sometimes pursue my dream, sometimes find myself. And he never said “You left me” but I feel how lonely he is and and I want him to be happy and just have the joy in his life.

Can't wait to travel home in two months and spend a month with him.

Many thanks for reading and being with me

Hi 👋🏿! I love collecting fridge magnets too.

Your dad is cute 😁. Your post makes me miss my family

Hi dear @voverrodae! Call your family or go see them if you have chance :)

Thanks for sharing openly about your family. Resonates with me as I too was raised single handedly by my mom. Can really sense how much your dad must mean to you from your writing. Have a good trip back home, and a good father daughter bonding session :)
