In Dependence (Review)

in love •  7 years ago  (edited)

In 1963, Tayo Ajayi travels on water to take up a scholarship from Nigeria to England at Oxford University. Surrounded by the dreaming spires, he discovers a generation high on visions of a new and better world. Everywhere is ablaze with change: independence movement at home, in Europe, tremors of countercultural and sexual revolution, the civil Rights movement across the Atlantic.
It is then Tayo Ajayi meets Vanessa Richardson an ex-colonial officers's beautiful daughter.

In Dependence is Tayo and vanessa's story of a brave but sweet pleasure mixed with sadness love affair. Crossing three continents and four unruly decades, a story of courage, passion, betrayal and universal desire to fall, deeply, in love.images-7.jpg
