Maybe it was time, maybe it was not meant to be, maybe it was us.
I was thinking of you today, you stole my breath like so many times before and I found myself again missing you.
We are not together anymore and even if you wanted to try again and I wasn't sure, now I am. I told you we can't be with each other, at least not in this life.
You broke my heart, and I can see it now, it wasn't right the first time and it never won't be.
We were young and stupid, you didn't know compromise and I was insecure. We didn't fit , we never did.
Today I write to you, hoping you are good, I hope you found a lady that is not shy, that shows her feelings to you, I really hope you love her and that you are happy together.
Today my scars will start to heal, I will let you go. Finally, I'm free.
