Wishes

I thought watching the Sunrise and the dawning of the Sun was the sweetest thing to see
But that was Before I met Sue

First thing you did was to take my breath away
I could see the sun shining on your face,
The prettiest girl 👧 I had ever seen, I have never believed in mermaids and goddesses but I just knew have met a beauty that can compare.
With a face that shone and radiated and a skin that glittered
I fell in love.
It was love at first sight

But that's another thing I still don't believe in , Yet I was experiencing it
I wanted to sweep you off your feet but I didn't have the strength for that, your beauty rendered me weak !
Then you left my sight and I could never behold you.

Then I prayed for wishes and wished for my prayers to be answered
If wishes came through, I would wish to hold you
If wishes came to pass, I would wish for one more time with you
But wishes never came to pass, so I'm stuck in a lifetime without you.
I always wanted to be a bird, flying and soaring but I was a dog on all fours, All my supposed friends did was to bird-dog.
I threw my last coin wishing it will be well, soon I might be six foot under, like my coin at the bottom of the wish well.
I wished it would all be well, crying and wishing with my tears flowing as if it were some waterfall.
A straight path l wished for, to an evergreen destination, I meandered to darkness .
I imbibed a large quantity of alcohol wishing I could be strong, "But we all know how it ended"
I wished for something bad and it happened.
I wished for Sue by my side walking down the aisle, I almost made it possible by committing to suicide.
I wished to be happy, Yet I ended up being sad.
The chrysanthemum withers and falls to lie on the ground beside teary eyes .
