So, some time ago, a guy walked up to me saying he loves me.... 😂😂😂

And I'm like, "You say wah?"
Hahahaha

Don't get me wrong, not like I'm not used to the word, but believe me, I'd rather you told me something more truthful than a big fat lie😂

I was in school then and I jokingly related it to a female friend, laughing as hard as I could.

And she was like, what if he really does? 🤔 🤷🏻‍♀

I got thinking and asking myself some questions.

"How would I know he loves me?"

Well, after series of thinking and self questioning, I came up with these few tips to decipher if a guy loves you or not.

He listens

I'm one big talkative. 😜
I talk a lot. I just enjoy talking and I don't actually expect you to listen all the time (even when I silently want you to) but a guy who truly loves you would always listen to you, no matter what you're saying.
I remember almost always talking to myself long ago as the so called boyfriend was never listening.
He'd pretend he was but when asked what I just said, he's lost.

He Cares For You

Show me a guy who cares for you and I'll show you a guy who truly loves you.
You can't say you love someone when you don't care about the person.
When a guy truly loves you, he is concerned about you and your well being.
He cares for you like he would, himself.

He Gives

There's a part of the Bible which states that love precedes giving. When you love, you give.
Giving doesn't necessarily have to be financial attachment. When you give time, heart, things, you are also giving and it shows that you love the person with whom you're with.

He Doesn't Stay Angry For Long

I am surprised when I hear stories of boyfriends not picking up calls for weeks because they had a fight. 🤔 😱
If he truly loves you, he wouldn't stay angry for long. Not that he wouldn't get angry. But he wouldn't stay so for too long.

He Is Concerned About Your Success

When you're in a relationship and he doesn't ask you what your plans are for yourself, career, your future, etc, it doesn't depict that he loves you.
When a guy truly loves you, your success is his success. Your happiness is his happiness. And so he takes delight in ensuring you're successful.

I remember always been asked by that guy who once told me he loved me, about my assignments. He'd always ask me to show them to him and would go all out in explaining things that seemed difficult for me to understand.
When Examination time table would be set, he'll copy his and copy mine too if he's the first to see it. He knows all the courses I'll be having for a particular day and would always ask if I read ahead.
Sometimes when I'd feel too tired to read, he'll promise to read with me even though we were both studying 📚✏different courses.

A guy who truly loves you would go all out in ensuring that you're successful.

I'm no relationship expert and I just shared a few tips on what I feel are pointers to the fact that a guy truly loves you.
