Know thyself, love yourself

Most people have a mirrored reflection of how they veiw themselves, founded upon the blend of externally and internally proclaimed characteristics. Hearing phrases like: thats just who I am, I am who I am, I am this, I am that. These defining characteristics and in depth traits are part of what make up of each individual's personality, swagger, and aura. Through the lens of our neighbors and peers, mass media and mass publications, our religious leaders and our professional spearheads we tend to create this painting of what we want to be and hold it for the public view, and in return we recieve the output or opinions of those we treasure, tweaking and refining according to their rubric. This cannot be our true value. We as individuals striving for progress and betterment cannot allow ourselves to be validated by our social peers. We can and should push for true self identification, seek our true strengths and weakness, building up what can be strengthened and tearing down what makes us weaker. The continuous flow of energy from the universal consciousness proves that we have the capacity to change within the scope of our own internal universes. Find the you that you love, the you that is true, discard the opinions of others and give yourself your own value, never selling your value short. This is called loving yourself. Do it more often and see the change in your everyday life.
