What is love?

I have a few relationships under my belt now as well as loving relationships with both friends and family. I recently started a new relationship with a girl and it got me thinking about what it really means to love someone.

When I was brought up I was led to believe that love was something that happened to you, without your control. I'm starting to lean more towards believing love is something you do on purpose, not something you "fall" into. It's supporting someone even if that means going out of your way.

A form of caring, an expression of love. It's not attachment in a needful sense, and it certainly isn't lust.

Love is watching out for your little brother,
Love is appreciating your dad for everything he's done for you,
Love is sniffing your wife's panties before throwing them into the laundry,
Love is watching your relationships grow and prosper.

An action, and a process. It's attentive, yet detached at times. Love doesn't want to control you, but sometimes love does protect you.

It's a funny thing I guess, love. What do you guys think?

Love is not a desire it makes people selfless in nature. When people fall in love he/she want to give up everything without asking anything. People don't repent in love. Love is not only exist between a man and woman. Its a universal thing. Love with nature, love with Humanity, love with family and parents , between brother and sister and friend etc. Without love there is nothing in the universe.

Yes selfless that is a good way to describe it as well! Thanks for replying
