"Love, Not Love"
We hunger for love, not love,
The empty throb that keeps us courageous.
We endlessly search, however never find,
An adoration that is valid and unconfined.
We're attracted to risk, desire and fire,
We long for what we can't obtain.
We're fools for affection, yet not for a really long time,
We realize that adoration can treat us terribly.
So we settle for something less,
An adoration that is protected and unamused.
We take the solace, leave the aggravation,
Once more, furthermore, trust that adoration won't return.
"The Excitement of Not Knowing"
We look for love, not love,
The adventure of not understanding what we'll procure.
We pursue the highs, we stay away from the lows,
We luxuriate in the shine of what we assume.
We play the game, we face the challenge,
We play with risk, we can't help it.
We realize that affection can break our hearts,
Yet, we couldn't care less, we'll have our influence.
For eventually, it's not the adoration we find,
Yet, the adventure of the pursuit that keeps us blind.
We'll continue to look for, we won't ever rest,
We in all actuality do best for adoration, not love.
"The Expense of Cherishing"
Love, not love, includes some significant pitfalls,
The aggravation we feel, the lines we've crossed.
We give our hearts, we take the risk,
We trust that affection will take a position.
Be that as it may, love is flighty, love is awful,
It plays us for an infatuated imbecile.
We endure, we grieve, we figure out how to adapt,
We hang on close, we lose all expectation.
We desire for adoration, not love,
The surge of energy, the delight it gave.
We'll address the cost, we'll take the aggravation,
We'll acquire for adoration, not love.
"Love To no end"
Love, not love, can be to no end,
The anguish that it brings, the perpetual aggravation.
We do our absolute best, we pour our spirits,
We lose ourselves in affection's profound openings.
However, love is momentary, love is flight,
It leaves us abandoned in the evening.
We cry and argue, we ask and supplicate,
Be that as it may, love, not love, has gotten sidetracked.
So we get ourselves, we start over again,
We figure out how to live without adoration's valid.
We continue, we track down our direction,
For adoration, not love, will come sometime in the future.
"The Adoration that Perseveres"
Love, not love, can endure for an extremely long period,
The adoration that perseveres, the affection that is heavenly.
It's not the enthusiasm, not the hurry,
However, the tranquil love that tops us off.
It's the affection that is patient, kind and valid,
The affection that stays, regardless of what we do.
The affection sees us, imperfections what not,
The affection that gets us when we fall.
We really want for affection, not love,
The affection that endures, the adoration that liberates.
We'll find it sometime in the not so distant future, we'll hold it tight,
For adoration, not love, merits the battle.
