Our 6th Wedding Anniversary -Life is Beautiful

Today Rennet and I celebrated 6 years as husband and wife. Hard to believe sometimes and yet it has flown by. Six years ago I was blessed to marry my high school best friend.

Six years has come and gone. They have been 6 wonderful amazing years. There have been challenges and days when the future was scary. There have been obstacles to overcome. They made us strong and shaped us into the person we have become.

A year after our wedding we were blessed with wonderful healthy baby boy.

Love is generous in a truly loving relationship, we give to the other without an expectation of return. We don’t keep an account of who did what for the other, this is not just money or materialistic things, its also giving time and respect. We obviously are not perfect and have a lot to learn.

Long lasting relationships come down to—kindness and generosity. Generosity is seen as a core virtue in most religions and spiritual paths. In Christianity, St. Francis of Assisi is known for saying, “For it is in giving that we receive.”

Finance - even though we may be raised to believe that love is the foundation of a marital relationship, let’s be real. Financial issues, if left unresolved, can ruin even the most successful marriages. A few years ago we had financial difficulties as I wasn't earning much and had lost my job. These were very difficult times, I still remember Rennet being there for me. We worked together to get things in place.

Six years have been a rollercoaster ride. There have been some great moments and some low points, but thats life, right? Saying that I also know going ahead that life ahead won't be a easy ride, but together we can ride along.
