Ever thought of blood group being a restriction in marriage partner selection? Finish this story to know how this principle wasn't recognised when a medical Doctor intentionally got married to a girl the world felt wasn't compatible for him .
From the onset of his medical career in the medical school, Dr. Justin who through his life experience in the University became extremely philophobic when he locked hands together with Rita who was a student of a catering School. During their long walk in "love eden" , Justin who monogamously kept Rita in his sphere of thoughts grew deeper in love as she was like a tree bearing fruits that were all desired by him.
Justin, who was lucky to have been born with a silver spoon in his mouth grew up finding life interesting was struck with a serious health issue in his early life which proper health check-up was carried out on him and was confirmed anaemic. His father who has blood group 'AS' volunteered to be the blood donor to the poor child, as both of them share same blood group. Justin who never forgot the incidence, often narrate it to Rita.
After Justin's internship in the University teaching hospital, he was retained as a medical doctor, he became fully financially independent and grew mature. With thoughts of marriage lingering around him, he finally proposed to Rita, who saw it as the most amazing moment of her life raised him up and kissed him warmly. Rita resumed her final semester in school, and was congratulated by her school mates on seeing her engagement ring. She smiles endlessly when the thoughts of his fiance glances through her memory.
One day, Justin was in his office, when he was called on telephone by Rita's school doctor, telling him about the severity of the ailments Rita caught up with. Then, he quickly rushed down to her school hospital. On getting there, he was taken to the emergency ward of the hospital, there, he saw Rita on a sick bed. On seeing Justin, she was revived a bit as she was able to talk with him. They waited for the lab results of the analysis that was been carried out with her blood sample. The result finally came out with a discovery that Rita was a carrier of the rare sickle cell anemia disease with blood group 'SS'.
Justin on noticing this, fixed his wedding date and promised never to stop loving her. He went to her parents providing the blood text result to them as was requested by his parents. He was told the implications of was he was getting into, which he during his university days. To the world, this was an "absolute genocide". He rejected the world's theory and got married to Rita, knowing fully that in every four child, there will be two sickle cell carrier.
Immediately after the wedding, Rita conceived, Justin being so happy as he was about being a father irrespective of what the outcome could become. He never gave up in motivating his wife. She finally gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, which brought so much joy to the world when blood analysis gave a negative result, revealing the child as a non carrier. Not quite long, Justin who never thought of the state of their marriage went through same course and got Rita set to giving him another baby. When she was due for child birth, she had complications and couldn't follow the normal child birth process, she was delivered of her second baby girl through a ceaserian section (SC) operation. The baby was diagnosed sickle cell anemia free. At this point, Justin took a halt and lived happily with his wife and two kids.
