Since their wedding in 2011, Kate Middleton and Prince William are among the couples who make us dream. Back on a love story worthy of the most beautiful fairy tales.

Prince William and Kate Middleton meet for the first time on school benches. Or rather, on the benches of the university. In 2001, they both joined the Scottish University of St. Andrews in Art History. Residents on the same campus, Kate and William are brought to cross each other. They become friends, review together, play tennis ...

Until March 27, 2002. On the occasion of a charity fashion show at the St Andrews Hotel, Kate parades in light dress under the eyes of some high school students, but especially William. According to some rumors, it was at this moment that the prince would have fallen in love with Kate. She is not a princess, but what does it matter? And William was probably not the only one, since from the start, Kate is elected "most beautiful girl of the university"!

That day, Kate would eventually have responded to Prince William's advances. A year later, the couple moved away from the campus at 13a Hope Street and then to Balgove House in 2003, away from downtown.

It was in 2006 that the first rumors of engagement began to circulate. That year, Kate even attends the wedding of Camilla's daughter in Wiltshire. A commemorative crockery project with the image of Kate and William is even made public.

However, in March of the following year, the couple again distances itself. The Sun announces their break in its edition of April 14. A break that only lasts a few months. In June, Kate and William meet at the costume ball organized by William's regimental barracks. A month later, they are soldered at the Concert organized by Prince William and Prince Harry in honor of Lady Diana .

Engagement in Kenya at Westminster wedding

It's a day in October 2010 that William decides to make her request Kate, during a trip to Kenya. "I dream regularly, and Africa is one of the places I go in. It calms me down completely, Kate understands what being in Africa means to me," said Prince William, adding that he did not not at all planned his request in advance.

And Kate had not actually seen it coming either! "We were out with friends, so I did not expect it at all!" It was a total shock when he arrived, I was very excited! she had confided.

On November 16, the couple officially announces their engagement. One year later, on April 29, 2011, Kate and William are getting married at Westminster Abbey, offering the world the opportunity to attend one of the most beautiful weddings of all time! They then become Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

A royal and modern couple

Two years after their marriage, Kate and William become parents of their first child. Prince George , born July 22, 2013. Two years later, Kate Middleton gives birth to her little sister, Princess Charlotte, on May 2, 2015. On September 4, Kate and William announce the wait for their third child, whose birth is scheduled end of February, beginning of March.

And if Kate and William are a royal couple, they are above all a modern couple. No offense to the protocol! For example: they are affectionate even in public, they raise their children and have only one nanny (Maria Borrallo) , they have enrolled George in school and Charlotte will certainly follow the same path, they report the same clothes and do not only wear luxury clothes, or offer Christmas gifts to their children.

This year, the family moved to London to move to Kensington Palace full time. But George and Charlotte will stay in school in London.

Kate and William will intensify their involvement in royal duties until they become King and Queen of England respectively. Also, William would consider giving up his helicopter pilot career and the couple should give more of their time to charitable causes, including that of Youth Mental Health.

Indeed, Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh preparing to celebrate their 91 years and 96 years respectively in June 2017, Kate and William would like, according to a source close to the royal family, to be able to invest more when asked.
