According to The Marriage Foundation, unconditional love is giving our all, expecting nothing in return. It involves the absence of any complaints, criticisms, or condemnations directed at our partner without expecting the same treatment in return. It means seeing only the strengths and beauty of the one we love, never considering any faults unless to help prevent triggering them.
The basis of the principles for unconditional love is founded on the SEW technique by The Marriage Foundation, which is copyrighted, so I'm unable to divulge the nature of this method. But I can tell us that no matter where we are in life, we are loved, and the true spirit of living is one where we adopt an attitude of joy and unconditional love toward every single soul. It's a peace that generates wisdom.
Every hardship or trauma we face is intended to guide us to a place of unconditional love for everyone involved. In this journey, we come to realize that we have no enemies, as we've loved one another throughout eternal time, and we're meant to love each other now in this troubled yet magnificent world. When we reach that place of love for everyone, we naturally gain wisdom, which is the highest pursuit when done in the name of love for all. This wisdom empowers us to navigate life's challenges with grace and understanding.
So, The Marriage Foundation teaches principles of love that assume we are not the mind and body but a soul that has a mind and body. This assumption leads Paul Friedman, the founder, to present an unconventional philosophical perspective that defies the self-centric model of Western psychology in favor of a selfless model of unconditional love.
To end this part of a series of love notes to the Steemit community, once we learn how to love the ones we commit to unconditionally, we can expand that to the world.
Please show love for my post so I can use that love to one day open a community centered on unconditional love for all of us heart throbs on Steemit!
