Are Bitcoin maximalists just idiots?
Hi guys, this post is in response to a recent video posted by Tony Vays where he spoke about Ripple paying people to use XRP, using it as a pump and dump scheme and a whole load of other nonsense. This video was posted on a channel with over 80,000 subscribers, and we find it sad that a lot of these viewers are so misinformed.
Without intending to come across as rude or condescending, whilst most of these Bitcoin maximalists probably know a lot when it comes to Bitcoin, the majority do not have a clue what they are talking about when it comes to Ripple and XRP. We also disagree and find it laughable that some of these individuals believe that Bitcoin will topple the banks and governments.
Bitcoin will not be adopted without XRP. Try and send Bitcoin anywhere in the world in 5 seconds – it isn’t possible without using XRP as the bridge asset. Proof of work simply doesn’t work. Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency, and XRP will be the first to succeed on a global scale. Bitcoin isn’t fast enough, isn’t scalable, and the fact that it can be mined makes it susceptible to a 51% attack.
Interoperable tokens are the future. We need a network of networks which is what the interledger protocol (originally called the Ripple protocol) is providing us with. It is providing an internet of value by internetworking different ledgers together. This will give us the internet of everything.
We are super excited for what the future has in store for us. So, continue to accumulate, learn and enjoy the journey.
We love crypto and we love XRP, and love being able to share the journey with you guys!
