Dear Diary: My Love-Hate Relationship With My Hyperparathyroid Medicine

I had been enduring my Cinacalcet medicine for almost two years now and I am glad that I am surviving in taking it everyday because not all people are able to take it. That awful drug just makes me lose my appetite big time. So with that I am unable to gain some weight in the process.

I am am just skin and bones but at least most of the pain that I am suffering from is now alleviated and now I do not have to take some pain medications unlike before where I got worried in having some side-effect in my stomach because of that.

I can now forgo of taking anti-pain medicines and it is good since i do not want to toxify my body anymore with additional medicines that I believe is making additional illnesses in the body if taken in long term. That is why I still worry about taking my hyperparathyroid medicine because of its potent effect on my body regarding my bone pains.

Appetite is my only complaint about my Parathyroid medicine but other than that the medicine is a God-given drug for my bones particularly its reversing effect about my Leontiasis issue which is caused by my hyperparathroid which is cause by phosphorus-Calcium imbalance in my body which is caused by my non-working kidney.

So I am also in a strict diet in controlling my phosphorus intake so that my parathyroid won't pump as much of its hormones in my body. My prayer is that one day it would get normalized so that I will be completely healed with my bone pain issues.

I could not take off that drug because my body needs it even though i am suffering from appetite loss which makes my life in the other hand miserable and sad but any way I am not losing heart that someday this issue will get resolved as soon as I had my parathyroidectomy.

Now I am just waiting for cryptos to go higher so that I can get the funds that I needed for my medical needs. It will take some years I think for that to happen so again I pray to God to will it for me and it is just good to know that there are many people around the world ready to pray for me so that I can get to achieve my goals although it is a far-fetched but still possible to happen with God's will.
