I'll like to buttress the basics of love using the concept of persons and situations, okay!
In life, we are bound to face tough times. These could stem out from people or situations. If it is situations then you are safe but if it is people then there are two things involved.

Christ loves us but would let us pass through certain situations for the greater good and he doesn't abuse us in the process instead by His spirit he comforts us cos we form the component of His bride.

But the case where you have enough situations to deal with in your day-to-day life which includes your Christian walk and the person who is supposed to comfort you in abode after the situational stress is now the potential source of your predicament, I really do not think it is a wise idea to go ahead in the name of love.

However, if you feel you can still manage with an abusive person who gives you hammer in the place of paracetamol not even trying to pray for you when you have headache in the name of love, it is still fine.

The love Christ has for us is to bring us up, to tush us up with a better nature if I may say. It is to redeem us from destruction not because he can't do without us. He remains unchanged with or without us. But in context of marriage, human to human, you are not marrying your spouse out of pity, you are not giving her a higher nature and can assure you until the knot is tied you cannot die for her, so please be real.

You can counsel such person with attitudinal flaws but not at your detriment, Jesus so loved us and because He wanted the best for us He died. Can you die?
Love your neighbour as your self says the scripture.
