Panama Update: Week 7 #lovepanama

Hospital, Thunderstorms, Panama ID, Mini Salamander

Dear Friends and Followers,

Week seven since my move to Panamá has arrived. With it, more rain. But the sun still burns just as hot, and it's getting lighter a little sooner. Lot's has happned in week 6. Here is my update.

Emergency Room in the Hospital

In the previous week, I had a little accident. I will talk about it on Frequency Waves, as it is related to Frequencies. That aside, I burnt my foot.

I hardly ever visit a doctor. Surely not for a cold, headache or a sore throat. But this one hurt. At first, my foot seemed to get better. I did the things Globi does. I paid little attention to the burn. This was careless. Finally, the pain reached a level that was hard to ignore. In addition, the swelling was getting worse. The wound did not heal up, and showed signs of an infection.

@disarrangedJane and @thebugIQ encouraged me to have it looked at. I finally gave in and made the decision yesterday to go to the emergency room, not least because I could hardly walk and needed to go to Immigration the next day. I spare you the picture of the foot. Needless to say, it wasn't pretty.

Off to the emergency room I went.

Drip Drip and Blood Tests

The nurses had a look and called in a doctor. I ended up with three doctors.
Thing is, the Punta Pacifica is the best hospital in Panamá. It is a mere 500 ft away from my house. The Doctores spoke English and security was high in the facility.

I was given an infusion and some very good pain killers. Lala land stuff. After three hours, the third doctor came back, with two sheets of test results - all negative - which was positive. No bacterial infection. That was the biggy!

Got some prescription for an ointment, some supplies of proper dressings and, what else, some more painkillers. Equally effective stuff. All is good. And so I was able to go to Immigration today.

Immigration Panamá

My lawyer, the one @choogirl recommended to me, waited at 9 AM sharp at Immigration. At 6:30, someone who they hired, had already taken a number. Counselor and I effectively spent less than 20 minutes at Immigration. That included taking a picture for the temporary ID you see here, having everything checked and the card issued. The ID is valid for six months. In about four months, I will be issued a permanent residency card. All good. I now have a Panamanian ID. Amazing. I am happy!

@Familyprotection

Last night was rough. Emergency room visit. Drowsy pain killers. And I was tired -- too tired to complete my post about JANE'S CHAOS SHOW Extra from Saturday, in which I covered @familyprotection. The video is some 40 minutes long, and after some editing the computer took its time to render and I was about to fall off my perch. I planned on getting up at 6 AM to upload the video to d.tube and getting ready for immigration.

However, at 1 AM, my foot was burning up, and I got up, sat at my desk, stuck my foot in a bath of cold water and completed the post. If you haven't seen it yet, it is worth listening and watching. Please spread the word about the injustices carried out by the state against our children and their parents.

My Salamander Friend Visited

In an earlier #lovepanama update, I reported about a cute little Salamander who was hiding as quicky as I spotted him for a second or two.

Well, yesterday night, I got lucky. As I was turning the monitors off and putting myself offline, I saw it again. Behind me, on the wall. There, there it was. Oh My God - how cute are you, little guy!

The Salamander was quick and frightened. I spoke to it softly: Don't be afraid little guy!

Let me take a picture or two of you. I won't harm you. I leave the window open, so you can leave anytime you want. BUT, if you wanna stay, you need to pay your part of the rent. A tiny Steem amount through this post will do.

It ended up high on the wall. I was confident it just paid me a short visit and would find it's way back ourside to catch bugs and climb even higher than my studio on floor 21. I welcome you anytime, little friend whenever you may need a roof over your head to shelter from rain.

Love Panamá!

I have a little video of the guy, which I will show another time, together with the most powerful thunderstorm I have ever experienced in my life. We'll enjoy that in another post.

Studio Addition

Before I go, I wanted to share with you my newest addition to the CHAOS Audio Production Studio. It's a Supercardioid mic.

This is Andrea, a AKG P5S. It's purpose is to supplement the audio function of my other friend: the Roland synthesizer Juno DS.

Yep, I does all kind of fancy Vocoder things, and I am planning to do a MSP Waves jingle with it. Stay tuned!

That's it for today.

Did you like my update from Panamá? Please leave a comment! I'd love to hear from you!

Till my next Panamá update...

Love

I'm glad your foot injury didn't get too bad and what a cute and awesome pet to have! Cos it was free! Glad you are having a blast in Panama bro! Keep up the good work.

Thanks, @sirlunchthehost. All is good. A bit stingy, that burn. It is a good reminder that I ought to appreciate my otherwise great health a bit more! Things are healing well now, and I am sure in a couple of weeks it will be a distant memory, and I can get back to sunburning my face...

Yeah, I named the Salamander Sally. It just doesn't know it yet. Cutest critter evuh...

I loved your update, although not the part of you burning foot. When you burn again, potato peels do wonders to let the burning stop and I speak out of my own experience. But you should apply it and keep it on the burn right after the accident happened!
What we call a Salamander we call here gecko's. We have lots of them visiting all the time. Some people don't want them in the house but we love them. Sometimes we watch as they catch moths, bugs or mosquitos.
Glad everything else went smoothly. God bless!

Thanks @hope777
Have to say I never opened up like this before in public.

Oh, tattie skins. Good to know. No plan to burn myself again mind you.

Geckos. Yeah. Think is, this lille cutie is soooo tiny! It's just a joy to watch em, and I don't mind them visiting.

Stay blessed dear friend!

Oh sorry to hear you have issues with your foot....i wish you a quick recovery! This little guy is so cute . I had once one like this in my backpack when i came home from Jamaica. Unfortunately he didn't survived much longer in my home.
Congratulations to Andrea :) ...looking forward to hear your jingle :).......take care!

Thanks @psionic-tremors! It's already better. :)

Awhhh, poot little guy didn't make it. Good news is, Salamader Sally is free to come and go here. :)

Yeah, that Andrea got style., ehj?

OMG!! D: what happened?! Wishing you a fast fast recovery 🙏✨, here goes a small classic caribbean remedy for burns and wounds... Aloe Vera, just take the leaf (the jelly part) and rub it all over the wound, helps a LOT with the cicatrization and also prevents infections. On the other hand, I like the name of your new microphone... fits her ☺️. Sending good vibes to you (in 432hz :D) see ya on the next show 🔊

Thanks Andrea! Ohh - it was a silly thing I did, and quite dangerous. I will talk about it on Frequency Waves, as it relates directly.

Aloe Vera is some miracle remedy - I never thought of it. I am not sure if one can buy the plant here, but ointments and concentrates are widely sold in stores.

My new AKG Andrea is quite a looker, ain't she? And she sounds great, too. :)

Thanks for the 432 vibes... I think I am going to do a 1990 Decade show this week, one I KNOW @aggroed will appreciate, given he maintains that proper music started with the 90s...

Yesss \o/ love the sounds of the 90s, I'll be there! :D About the Aloe plants, I think you can find them in fruit stands or maybe at the Riba Smith supermarket. Take care @globocop, hope your foot is feeling better today ✨

Awesome - Andrea goes 90's on Sat. Looking fwd to having you there. :)
Foot is on the mend.
Have to check out RS more carefully next time I am there. Have a lovely eve...

That salamander is so cute, we have some lizards we give them food and are so cute, they trust us. Heal well and soon, ouch. Here in Spain we use an ointment called silvederma to keep burn infections at bay. Hope it gets better

Gracias Priscilla! It's already much better. :) Cutest!!!

OOO--- he's so cute!!! And I'm SO pleased you were able to get to the immigration office! Everyday, a little closer! Make sure you use that ointment, precious froxxie! And, nice new addition to the studio! And thank you for your dedication to @familyprotection posts. It's extremely important to spread the word...the truth. You do so much. Thank you for everything you do, for so many. You're a treasure!
(take your painkillers, and put that ointment on your foot. maybe, elevate it too. ) :)

You know, elevation helps. Not supposed to put this ointy stuff on at night.

As for famprot, we just can not not do it... Agg explained it well on the CHAOS show. We have a moral obligation to share this info...

Woo! Congrats on getting your ID. Linda is awesome.

Glad your foot is ok too.

Thanks Choo. Yeah, Linda is first class... they do care. They actually sent John to drive me to and from the emergency room. She was talking about checking on priv. insurance for me, which might be a smart thing to consider.

Wow, that is above and beyond!

How cute is that!!! Like a little reminder for you to hang on stick to the path you are on - just like that little one sticks to the wall despite gravity!!!

Wishing you a speedy recovery!!! Much Love!!

You know Claudette, you have a way with words - love your comment. Sticking to it, despite gravity - you bet. :)

oh my dear globo, I think panama is beating you up a little too much!

LOL - I can get carried away - youth thing... LOL
Those youngsters, know no restrictions... xx
