As the backbone of the Ethereum network, Ether plays a pivotal role in enabling various DeFi projects, NFTs, and asset tokenization. However, the new U.S. ether ETFs may not include staking due to the SEC's classification of such services as unregistered securities. This omission might impact the appeal of ether ETFs when compared to bitcoin ETFs.
