Litecoin (LTC) will release a credit card in partnership with Bibox and Ternio
It seems that the trend towards cryptomoney-based credit cards is returning in force. After the Coinbase exchange, it is the Litecoin Foundation that announces a Litecoin payment card (LTC), or more precisely a "BlockCard".
Announced on June 18 on the Litecoin Foundation website, this LTC BlockCard is being launched in partnership with the decentralized exchange Bibox and Ternio, creator of the physical BlockCard debit cards (under VISA license)
The DEX Bibox will be the custodian service for user funds, Ternio will provide the platform dedicated to credit card management (getblockcard.com), and the Litecoin Foundation will ensure the integration of the LTC BlockCard into Litecoin's official wallet, the LoafWallet.
This collaboration will facilitate the payment of daily expenses with the cryptocurrencies. Because beyond Litecoin, other cryptos can be deposited. The Bibox Token (BIX) or Ternio (TERN) will also be usable.
"This is an exciting partnership for us because it advances the mission of the Litecoin Foundation to create new cases of currency use in everyday life... The use of Ternio's BlockCard platform, with Bibox's exchange engine, gives Litecoin holders unparalleled access to use their LTCs at merchants around the world." Charlie Lee, creator of Litecoin
The availability of this LTC BlockCard will be specified shortly, but it will only be available to residents of the United States in the first instance.
