Lucifer is not Satan (in the bible STORY)

Where did Lucifer come from in mythology?
A misunderstanding and mistranslation of Isaiah 14:12.

Lucifer is not Satan, it’s a mistranslation of a Hebrew word into a Latin one.

Jerome, responsible for the translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into Latin, did not speak Hebrew, and misunderstood the word הֵילֵ֣ל to be a proper name, which he translated into Latin, via Greek, as Light bringer, lux fer, and combined the two into a name, Lucifer.

Lucifer actually refers to the king of Babylon, most likely Nebuchadnezzar II, as that same chapter makes clear in verse 4.

Ancient Babylon features prominently in the Bible, and Nebuchadnezzar is a significant character in several Bible books.

In reality, Lucifer IS Satan. But, in the BIBLE story, Lucifer is not Satan.

Satan, in the bible story, is an angel of the lord that still resides in heaven after "Lucifer" or more accurately, Gad'ra'el or Gadreel, was cast out according to ze JEWS story. And in that story, there was no battlllle. It was an ARGUMENT! Between someone speaking for "The Father" and the opposition, which was the adversary of the speaker for The Father. Adversary. Satan. It is a title in that example.

In reality, Satan is the name of a deity and like many other deities and objects, names mean things. Light Bearer for example. Light Bringer/Bearer. "To give light from smoke" Lucem Ferre. To give Lucem from smoke.

Or Lux Fer. Which is pronounced Luchi Ferre, so you get Lucifer. Either as Lux Fer or Lucem Ferre.

Lux-Light Fer-Bearer.

What was being called the light bearer at that time, by Isaiah, was the planet Venus. As it it visible first before the Sun. So it is seen as the bearer of the light or light bearer. The words Lux Fer, pronounced Luchi Ferre, simply means that.

Isaiah was only comparing the King of Babylon, to the bright morning star, the light bearer, Venus. Which is all the context he would have for a light bearer in the first place. He isn't talking about an archangel or fallen one. At all.

Then in the Greek, Phosphorous means the exact same thing as Lux Fer. Same thing. And in the Septuagint, the Greeks talked about Anthropos, Man, and how Man fell. Not any angel or archangel or deity.

So any mention of the deity Lucifer in the bible story, is fraudulent and has nothing to do with the real Lucifer. But people use anything with his name or part of his name, to say it's a bad thing.

Luciferase. A substance that glows. ...do you want to know why it glows? Because it bears, light. If it didn't glow, it wouldn't be called Luciferase. It would have a different name. What does the ase mean? Shit I dunno.
