People always use their subjectivity to define the world.
Everyone has their own set of standards for goodness, evil, beauty and ugliness. They use these standards to measure the external world, and use these standards to guide their actions and pursue compliance, as well as the so-called success and happiness standards in people's minds.
People are happy when they get what they want, and when they don't get it, they suffer. This is true for all people.
But the fact is that people’s idea of understanding things is completely wrong. You think what happened is helpful to you. Is it really the case? Is the path you planned for life really suitable for you? Is the bad thing you think is really bad?
Never use your superficial wisdom to speculate on God's intentions.
Many times, we have no idea what will happen next. We don't even know what is good for ourselves and what is bad for ourselves. It can be said that we don't know how to love ourselves at all.
There was such a story:
Among the people near the border fortress, there is a man who is proficient in arithmetic. His horse ran to the enemy alone, and everyone came to comfort him. Father said, "Why do you know this is not good luck?" A few months later, his horse not only came back, but also brought many horses. Everyone congratulated him. Father said: "Why do you know this is not a disaster?"
There are many horses in this family. His son likes to ride a horse, and one day he fell off his horse and broke his thigh bone. Everyone sympathized with him. Father said: "Why do you know this is not good luck?" One year later, the enemy invaded the border fortress in large numbers. People were either killed in battle or injured and disabled. Because of his broken leg, only his son could survive without going to war. Therefore, luck can become misfortune, and misfortune can become luck. These changes are elusive and unfathomable.
People suffer because what happens in reality does not meet their criteria for false judgments. This is because I can't get out of my inner self-setting. I don't understand that what I am obsessed with is not suitable for me at all, and what I hate sometimes helps me.
Therefore, a truly wise man will not be sad.
